Finnish diving towers

This series present the vernacular architecture of diving towers set in the Finnish lakeside landscapes. These beautiful amateur structures scattered around the country on lone lakes and ponds are a dying breed. They were elected by the community for public use throughout 20th century. Now, due to lack of community spirit and ever-tightening safety regulations they are violently being torn apart or let to rot.
